 – Blessing of the Graves, Altar Shelter & Remembrance Garden
 – Free Transport from The Bridewell at 6:30PM (See note below)

SATURDAY, 13th AUGUST
3PM History Tour
 – Kilnaughtin & Lislaughtin Abbey with Dr. Declan Downey & Padraig O’Concubhair
 – Free Transport from The Bridewell at 2:30PM

9:30PM Gathering at Thomas Coolahan’s

SUNDAY, 14th AUGUST
3PM – All Along the Island Road- A walk & talk By Padraic Creedon, Ecologist
Meet at The Bridewell

8PM – Concert – St Mary’s Church –  Grace Foley contemporary vocalist joined by local support acts (see note below)
– In association with St Mary’s Church & The Community Centre
– Tickets (donations) from local shops €15 (€10 concessions)

9.30PM – Gathering at Nuala Carmody’s

MONDAY, 15th AUGUST
12 NOON – The Shannon Drowning. -Memorial Walk from the Plaza to Mulalley’s Berth led by Donal O’Connor

** Kilnaughtin Graveyard Mass – Friday 12th August at 7pm.  In the interests of comfort and safety, a bus service to and from the Bridewell, at no cost to people using the service, will be provided by the Kilnaughtin Church & Graveyard Committee. In order to secure your seat please register at the Bridewell in advance as parking at Kilnaughtin is very limited and can entail a walk from where you park to the graveyard. The bus will take you to the  main gate, collect you afterwards and drop you back to the Bridewell.

 

About Grace Foley.

Grace Foley is a classical crossover singer from Killarney.
She began vocal training at the age of14 and went on to study at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.

In 2018 Grace released her E.P. ‘Unleashed’. Grace toured Ireland in 2019 in venues such as the National Concert Hall, the INEC and the Whale Theatre.

Throughout lockdown Grace continued to record and release music including her most recent album,’Unmasked’. In 2021 Grace took part in the RTE TV show ‘Last Singer Standing’ and sang a song especially for her daughter Anna. Her performance received high praise from Judges Samantha Mumba and Nadine Coyle as well as presenter Nicky Byrne of Westlife fame.

Grace plans to tour around Ireland and the UK throughout 2022 and 2023 and is currently recording volume 2 of her Christmas E.P. due for release in late November ’22.
